In my 17 weeks of being pregnant I have learned lots! I thought it would be humorous to complie a list of what I personally think are the Do's & Don'ts of pregnancy!
Do:
- EAT! Even if its crackers. I quickly learned that as soon as I got hungry, I felt sick. Luckily I never got morning sickness per sa but I contribute that to eating something right when I got up, even if I didn't feel like it.
- Listen to your body! Especially if it is saying "I want to do nothing else but sleep"-- Your husband will understand if the dishes aren't done & his socks for work aren't clean... Right D? :)
- Eat lots of fruit & veggies. I for sure slack on the veggies part but I am LOVING fruit. I stopped at a local produce stand & stocked up on bananas, peaches, apples & pears... Yum!
- Do Exercise! From week 6-10 I wanted to do nothing else but sleep but I love walking with my husband & pup!
- Enjoy it! The weeks are starting to fly by. The first tri kinda seemed longed but the last 5 weeks have flown by! I love being pregnant. I love the thought of what is happening in my body and I LOVE absolutely love when my husband rubs my belly and says hi to our little one.
Don't
- Go to safeway when your hungry. You will, & you will, spend way to much money on things that look good and then once you get home, be grossed out by them.
- Think your superwomen. As of June, I got a new job in which Im really enjoying. I am tutoring a boy with autism. At this time I was also working as a server at the tea room. Physically, I had to listen to my body and give that job up. However, I now took on the challenge of working 5 days a week, while going to grad school (12 units) & being a wifey all while growing a child in my belly! I must say that at first I thought "oh I can do it all". Well, I have found a good routine that works for me & my hubby but I also know when to take a seat on the couch and stop trying to be superwomen. Oh well if dinner is 30 minutes later or if I didn't read the chapter due for class. All I care about is growing a healthy baby... because honestly all those other little things are not important compared to that!
- Go to Taco Bell when you are hungry. This is a KEY point. Spending $13.00 at Taco bell for one person is not a good plan, espeically when there is no one else home to help you eat it. Fortunatly, I didn't eat it all (at one seeting)... but boy oh boy did I order too much food!
I will sollow my pride and show the proof.
Im sure I'll be adding more to this in the next 23 weeks!
