Changes, Grad School and my 6 month old

Lots in happening in the Russell home. This past month has involved so many changes or should I say 'milestones' for Connor & us. In the last several weeks, Connor has moved out of our room & is sleeping great in his big boy crib ( insert sad face ). He has started eating solids & enjoying trying new foods. He is also mobile and rolls clear across the family room in seconds!

Now I have to ask, what happen to my baby boy?

How is he already 6 months old, practically sleeping through the night, rolling all over the place and eating food?

I truly love every second I spend with Connor but part of me wishes there was a pause bottom. Can he stop growing so quickly? When did my seven pound newborn turn into a seventeen pound infant!?!

Do all moms think this... even when their child is 18 & off to college... Im thinking so!

I mean look at this face... too much cuteness for one little boy!

Along with Connor growing too quickly in front of my eyes, I started back at grad school this week...

It was tough being away, like really tough. Getting pictures from Derek of Connor laughing & eating dinner was comforting, but I missed my boys. It may be a long 15 weeks but I've decided to quit my complaining & get it done! I am so lucky to have a husband kicking me out the door telling me I need to do this, for myself, for Connor, for our family. I am so grateful I have my parents helping on Wednesdays when both Derek & I are gone.

Now back to Connor being 6 months old already.

A whole half of a year has gone by. A whole half of a year as parents to a healthy baby boy. 182 nights of nursing him to sleep and 182 mornings of waking up to a smiling baby. I could have never imagined how amazing those 182 days have been. Even when pregnant, I imagined and pictured, but reality is SO much better than any dream I ever had. He is such a happy boy, so full of smiles and laughs. Plus he is starting to be so cuddly and reaching for his mama which melts my heart! He sure has grown since that day we brought him home from the hospital & Im so lucky I get to watch him grow everyday!

I thank God everyday for that baby boy.
Happy 6 months old... & 1 week... Connor Jackson Russell (typically mommy fashion to be a bit late!)
Mommy & daddy love with so much!
